Rings and Beads

30 06 2008

She don’t wait for no one. She collected the jewelery on her wrists neck ears and ankles like the years, like tokens from past lives that she carried with her in a beautiful but burdened way, the scarves the necklaces the headbands bracelets anklets weighing her downs like shiny little balls and chains, when’s she gonna get out of this drug and food prison ? her hair is brittle now her body scarred but still she’s blonde and lithe so what does it matter to men, or to other women for that matter.
